Diesmal: Ein Pentium III-S 1400 auf einem VIA Apollo Pro 133T-Board (Shuttle AV18E2). Im Normaltakt kamen auch wieder 834 Punkte zum Vorschein - wie beim i815EP-Board (ASUS TUSL2-C). Allerdings hab ichs diesmal mit übertakten versucht. Mit den beiden 256MB-PC133-SDRAM-Modulen bin ich "nur" bis 140MHz FSB gekommen, darüber gabs dann Kernelpaniken. Also habe ich nochmal in meiner Kramkiste gesucht und noch ein 128MB-PC133-Modul gefunden, was lt. SPD-Informationen PC142 kann. Am Ende bin ich bei 160MHz FSB angekommen - was einem CPU-Takt von 1680MHz entspricht. Wohlbemerkt mit der normalen Kernspannung von 1,45V. Ab 161MHz FSB lief das Board dann nicht mehr hoch - auch nicht mit leicht erhöhter Kernspannung von 1,475V oder 1,50V. Immerhin: Die 1000 Punkte-Marke habe ich überschreiten können

Ich wollte zum Vergleich auch mal einen Athlon Thunderbird 1400 C benchen, aber irgendwie bricht Geekbench bei mir jedes mal mit der Meldung "illegal hardware instruction" nach dem Primality Test multi-threaded scalar ab. Lässt sich auch bei einem Athlon Thunderbird 1333 C rekonstruieren. Eigentlich wollte ich das Ganze ja auf einem ASUS A7V (VIA KT133) testen, aber das Board weigert sich, etwas mit dem 1400C anzufangen - selbst bei eingestellten 100MHz FSB (also 1050 MHz CPU-Takt). Nunja, da werde ich morgen noch etwas experimentieren.
